eWood® is a unique plastic wood made from the mixed plastics of products previously destined for landfill such as: computers, televisions, white goods, commercial equipment, car parts and printer cartridges collected from the e-waste stream being strongly supported by programs such as ‘Cartridges 4 Planet Ark’.
Our main consumer product range is eWood, which is marketed through eWood Solutions.
In 2022 Shred-X, an industry leader in secure destruction and recycling solutions, acquired eWood®. Shred-X roots are planted in sustainability, having begun as Australian Paper Recycling in South East Queensland, recycling all paper collected into new paper products.
eWood® Solutions have engineered an innovative manufacturing process, allowing hard plastics to be repurposed into our sustainable product range. eWood® sleepers are made from plastic extracted from printer cartridges and e-Waste components, collected and processed to make our range of outdoor and garden projects.
Made in Australia from 100% recycled materials, eWood® is not only 100% recyclable but also low maintenance, moisture resistant, non-toxic, termite resistant and is naturally UV stabilized – perfectly suited to the harsh Australian climate.
Available in a variety of lengths that can be cut to size, eWood® can readily be used in place of standard timber sleepers in the building of garden beds & edging, retaining walls & fences, even decking & railing.
With a life expectancy of 50+ years, you won’t need to worry about restoring your build or the constant upkeep required to maintain timber.
eWood Solutions’® core focus is waste transformation, through a unique patented process which utilises a range of plastics ordinarily destined for landfill. Used plastics are turned into a functional, versatile and sustainable material that can be used across a variety of DIY outdoor and garden projects.
Driven by a deep passion for the environment, the eWood® team has combined their diverse expertise to create a product that is not only eco-friendly but also practical, cost-effective, and aesthetically pleasing.
